New Year… New Decor!
Each year after New Years I pack up all of our Christmas/holiday decor. I then start going through holiday decorating withdrawals! It’s a real thing people. So, I feel like creating/purchasing new decor or even just rearranging what is already in the house gives me a decorating fix that wards off the after holiday blues.
I spent the weekend before last at a concert in Phoenix with my handsome hubby and loved seeing all of the enormous cactus there and inspiration struck. I came back home and painted a collection of cactus themed signs and put together some cactus, succulent, sand and rock pieces. This lead me into painting some spring signs. Then I did a wreath with double sided sign featuring a Valentine’s Day side “XOXO” and a “hello spring” side. After this kicked me into full-on spring mode I pulled out all of my fairy garden items and started curating tiny villages fit for fairies! These are now all classes coming soon at Raspberry Hill. I hope you enjoy crafting these fun new year new decor projects as much as I did. Get your tickets here now before all the seats are filled.
Thanks for choosing to shop small, local and handmade!

Mad Hatter Photo Shoot Pt. 2
You may have ready my post about our Mad Hatter styled photo shoot that I shared back on May 5- if not here is a quick recap. SEVERAL local vendors made an amazing collaborative effort to pull off a fun and funky Mad Hatter themed photo shoot behind my building to help promote my girl Cindy’s new event rental company Bits & Pieces. It was a loooong day (about 14 hours and 24,000 steps!) but it was a ton of fun and well worth the work. Our amazing photographer Jordan, owner of Carved Tree Photography, just let us know that the photos are finished. Yay- happy dance! Here are just a few of the amazing shots that she captured that day. Keep an eye out on our social media and in local publications for more photos!

Cornhole
Cornhole, bean bag toss, bags, or whatever folks in your neck of the woods call it is a summer time family fun must have game! We spent a week in California over New Years and went to the beach, museums, Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, Legoland and more! Do you know what the kids did every day and continued to talk about when we got home? They played cornhole in our hotel courtyard. We have never had a cornhole set but if this trip is any indication- we need one! So… mom came home and started building cornhole boards. My sister immediately asked for a set as well and then several friends wanted the game too, so I scheduled a Custom Cornhole painting class in the DIY Market. Customers loved this class and it sold out very quickly. The boards are regulation size, sturdy and affordable and the best part is that you can customize your boards! Take a look at some of the sets that have been painted in the DIY Market at Raspberry Hill Boutique.
We have another cornhole class coming up this weekend and hope to see you there! Get your tickets here or contact Kylie here to schedule another time to come in and create your own set of cornhole boards.
Thanks for shopping small, local and handmade!

Mad Hatter Photo Shoot
Bits & Pieces Wedding & Event Rentals
One of the very best things about owning Raspberry Hill Boutique (211 E Aspen Ave in Fruita, CO) is the fact that I get to work side-by-side with some amazing local vendors. In the boutique we have hand made soaps, lotions, bath bombs, candles, hair accessories, screen printed and sublimated tees, natural stone jewelry and so much more all made by local artisans. One of my vendors is Cindy Farrington with Harmony Lane. She has an amazing knack for finding fun funky vintage items! She has collected so many wonderful rare finds that she is starting a wedding and event rental company to share these items with the world… check out Bits & Pieces Wedding and Event Rentals at Raspberry Hill Boutique! To kick-off her new business she decided to collaborate with some of our artisans and other local vendors to pull off a styled photo shoot as funky as she is to showcase some of her available rental items. FUN!
The Venue
We have access (thanks to my amazing neighbor) to an industrial paradise next door. It has crumbly brick, exposed electrical conduit, vintage iron doors, and more! We set up 4 separate vignettes in this area as well as 3 more in the neighbor behind us’ patio area. Thanks Hot Tomato!
The collaborators
We had an amazing bunch of models that allowed us to snap shots of little girls playing in the garden, a family having a tea party, the mad hatter herself, and a beautiful bride! The ever sweet Jordan Perry of Carved Tree Photography captured all this and more. April of April Marie Events kept us all on track and on task. Beauty by Lynze did all of the adorable hair and beautiful make-up. Sam Wyatt of The Maven Pen created a funky hand lettered Cheshire Cat denim jacket and sandwich board sign for us. Katy with The Pearled Rose hand crafted some amazingly adorable mini Mad Hatter hats with feathers, flowers and more for the little models. And then there were all of the goodies!!! Cakes, cookies and scones thanks to Pistachio, Simply Cakes by Camberly, and Ever After Cakes and Creations. The flowers were provided by Bride and Bloom Design. The bride was outfitted by Annelise Bridal. And I am sure that I am forgetting someone!! There were so many amazing people involved in this project!! I had a blast creating fun clocks and frames, moss covered tables, vintage porch post arches and more. I am so very thankful to be apart of such an amazing group of women and can not wait to see the photos that Jordan captured! Watch our page for sneak peeks and full photo release. Also, be sure to contact me if you have questions about any of the rental items pictured!

Re-Loved Furniture by RHB
I love decorating, I love furniture, I love painting and I love saving anything that I can from ending up in a dump. What does all this have in common? Re-Loved Furniture!
In Raspberry Hill Boutique you will find several pieces (and new ones coming in all the time!) of my re-loved furniture. I paint, repair and re-love desks, shelves, tables, chairs, dressers… almost everything! I use our in-stock Fusion Mineral Paints and products. These are high quality products that yield high quality finishes that last and last. I paint solid colors, multiple colors, distressed, farmhouse, decoupaged materials and more. I am always experimenting with new techniques to create custom finishes.
Also, I love painting customer pieces. Have a hutch that granny gave you that just doesn’t match your style? Let me re-love it for you! I am happy to quote you on any piece(s) that you may want painted. Have a certain style in mind? Just send me a picture of what you want and I will do my best to match it.
In addition to re-loving furniture myself, I also teach furniture facelift classes at RHB. I can teach your proper paint preparation, painting techniques and several styles of finishes to create different looks o your piece(s). If you are interested in learning to “Paint it Beautiful” with me using Fusion Mineral Paints please watch our calendar of events for upcoming classes. Join our class scheduled this Saturday at 11:00 here.

Grand Opening Success!
Hello friends. As many of you know our Grand Opening Celebration was yesterday. It was amazingly fun and successful!!! We had 25 gift bags stuffed with free goodies, coupons, and candies for the first 25 shoppers through the front door. We opened the doors at 10:00am and the bags were all snagged up by 10:03am. Yay! It was a wonderful day filled with amazing customers both old and new, friends, family, and my amazing group of vendors that are always willing to help out at the Boutique. Love them! I am so happy that I have been lucky enough to find such an amazing group of women and men to walk beside me on this journey!
Thanks to all you have supported us thus far and we hope to continue seeing your beautiful faces.
